Our body host more than 130 different types of parasites. Some of them are part of our natural microbiota. Parasite infections can be varying from mild to very serious with severe symptoms. But what is a parasite?

A parasite is a simple celled micro-organism – an animal if you like – that lives in other species where it gets protection and a home. It does not benefit the host and it does not bring in any benefits to its host – its doing more harm than good.

More people than we like to admit are hosting or, should I say are infected with worms and or protozoans – which all are types of parasites.

Parasites in water are quite common in other places in the world –like Giardia Lamblia. Giardia cannot be eradicated by chlorination and causes millions of infections every year.

Blastocystis hominis is another common species of unwanted parasite.

You might say ”What are you talking about ? I do not have parasites! How is that possible?” I am a clean person, I am healthy and I wash my salad leaves etc…” Well, unfortunately, in certain situations that is not enough to keep them away from you. You can still pick up parasites.

Looking for solutions? Well Natural medicine has been used for thousands of years. We have herbs that these little buggers hate, and they are safe for you!

In Chinese medicine parasites is considered as part of a “syndrome” that covers many other diseases as well. Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years so they have developed effective parasite treatments with herbal medicine.

Parasites will not kill you, although certain parasites have shown to contribute to premature death or suicide in the host. The effect some parasites have on the brain and your emotions can bring you down and although this sounds far fetched unfortunately it has been know that they might cause such severe depression or psychosis that they drive the host to commit suicide. It is very important to seek help if you think you are suffering from this.

This is also why I as a rule, ask my clients about their guts, stool- and bowel movements, as well as their moods and last but not least travelling patterns and history of diarrhoea.

Even though the parasites don’t kill you, they steal from you. You will be lacking nutritional agents because they are helping themselves at your table – so to speak.

They can also cause organ malfunction and many other symptoms like headaches, chronic fatigue, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation (yes both), gas, anaemia, and premature aging.

Many of us are the unhappy host of one or more parasites without knowing it. Follow me to see how you can get rid of them.

Parasites feed on everything, but what they like the most can sometimes be what you are craving such as sugar, junk food and dairy. You wouldn’t like to feed your unwanted guests, would you?

They won’t leave if they are being fed!
